Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSOK) has announced a third extension for the registration of returning students for the 2022/2023 academic session. According to a circular released by the office of the Registrar, Academic Division, the registration deadline has been extended from 9th June 2023 to 16th June 2023.
Responding to Students’ Concerns
The decision to extend the registration period was made in response to the requests of parents and guardians of students who were unable to complete their registration within the initial deadline. Taking these concerns into consideration, the University Management has decided to provide additional time for registration until Friday, 16th June 2023.
The circular, bearing Ref number UDUS/R/ACA/018 and dated 9th June 2023, was signed by M.M Bako, the Administrative Officer on behalf of the University Registration Committee. It stated: “However, due to pressure from parents and guardians of those who could not register, the management of the University, in its customary display of compassion and grace, has extended the period of the registration to Friday, 16th June 2023.”
Previous Extensions The University Management Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSOK) has previously granted extensions to the registration period on multiple occasions. The most recent extension moved the original late registration deadline from 9th June 2023. With this latest extension, students who have not yet completed their registration now have additional time to do so.
Seizing the Opportunity The circular further urged students to seize this final extension and complete their registration as soon as possible. It also cautioned that students who fail to complete their registration within the newly extended deadline will have to defer their academic session.
“By this notice, any student who could not register on or before Friday, 16th June 2023 would have to defer the session,” the memo stated.
